Hello everyone! I am new to this site, but based on what I can see everyone looks very supportive! Last fall I purchased a 232 Captiva. I am looking to find a cockpit camper/enclosure, as I only received a boat cover with the boat at the time of purchase. I am not very picky, and am looking for functionality over anything else, it does not have to be new. Thank you for your time and assistance!! Have a great day!

I often referred to the top I got with my 232 as the Hokey Top, that thing is a joke.  When I decided on a camper canvas I went all new.  Raised it up for head space and extended it straight back to just past the sunpad.   Great set up complete with isenglass(sp) side windows.  Had it done in Arthur, Illinois at Otto's Canvas Shop.  A bit costly but well worth it.

Welcome to the forum. You are correct, this place is great to hang out and lots of great information here.

Does your boat have the bimini top? The reason I am asking is because the camper top arttaches to the bimini if you get the Rinker setup. Just think we need to know what you have so far.

What year is your boat? My 1998 232cc has a full camper enclosure, but it is rather short. You can't stand up when it is up. The bimini top snaps directly to the windshield, so it makes it useless on a hot day. I would go to a canvas shop and have them make one up for you. If I had to replace mine, I would get one that you can stand under.

Thank you for all of your help. The boat is a 1999. I do have the  "bimini", if you can call it that, that attaches to the windshield, but that is all I received when I bought the boat. (And that piece alone is simply worthless.) I just bought a new 4' bimini that will  actually provide shade from the sun. I like the suggestions that were made about having a custom canopy made built from the tall bimini structure. I just dont know that Im ready to spend $1000 on that kind of work. Ill continue looking, maybe someone has an original canopy that they're ready to part with because they can't stand not being able to walk under it anymore. At this point i just need something to keep the rain/bugs out if i ever go out on an overnight. Thanks again, you guys are great.
