The carpet in our 2002 342 was finally worn out at the end of last season and of course the black stuff on the back was sticking to the deck. I just ordered new carpet from www.snapincarpet.com. They have received very high marks from others on this forum. I think if you order before the 11th of March they have free shipping. They have the pattern for our boat in house and they provide the snaps although you have to install them because of varying snap patterns. Good luck with your 342. We absolutely love ours.

Hey Checkmate,
For requests like this you may want to move your posts into the General Boating Discussion as it gets a lot more traffic.

Should be here the first of next week. I ordered a couple of boarding mats for presents at Christmas time and they were very nice. Will let you know.

I ordered the carpet the end of last week and it showed up on Wednesday (very fast). Opened the box and unroled the carpet. It is beautiful! Love the new style backing and the trim. Can't wait to get the boat cleaned up and see the carpet on it.

I am one that has posted in the past about snap-in-carpet as well.  When my current boat is ready for new, it definitely is the place I will go. thumbsup  Carpet & canvas are the two things that make a boat feel brand new.  Enjoy that new stuff Trich!

What tool did you use for snap installation? Do they rent them out?

They do rent them but we probably won't put the carpet in for 2-3 weeks so we plan to borrow one from a friend.
