Had a bad day. Hit a rock and made some damage to the props. Still able to get on the plane without noticeable vibration. But my mechanics said I need a new prop, at least for the next season.

Does anyone know if they make aluminum props for this size or only stainless steel is available? By the way, what size props ?

Thanks for any input.

No idea if they have aluminum or not but I would stick with stainless.  Less flex in the prop and a 270 is a good size boat.

I have a Bravo III. The dealer, where I bought my boat 6 years ago, is no longer in service. Trying to find out the size of the props. Does anyone know where can I get this prop and how much does it cost?

The B3 props are about $600 apiece.  There is a number printed on them which will include the size.  I will guess you have 24P.  Sometimes you can find B3 props on eBay.  I got a set for $400 last year.

Good luck

Niles,
Thanks for the info. The props are stainless steel, right?

If you have vibration as you stated I would not wait to replace the prop - Any vibration will cause damage to the bearings in the lower unit incurring an even more expensive repair - Have the props pulled and sent to a prop shop for repair and balancing - for the most part prop shps can fix just about anything that has the blades still on it!
