Response to the Windsock on the Antenna
«
Reply #17 on:

It is a wndsock and it is mounted low on the radio antenna.I have had one one for three years and through all kinds of weather. I have never had a problem with it. The windsock is made from a very light weight nylon so it isn't very heavy. I started a fad in our marina. Now they are everywhere. I find it very usefull when docking with nowing which direction the wind is comming from.
I am really looking forward to the Cleveland Boat show will be attending tomorrow. I 'll take some pics.

It's not a Rinker
but I get a kick out of this picture of my First Mate at the controls of this 34' Baja that belongs to our good friends in Sioux City, IA...Twin 500 Mercs, about 75% power, 63 mph cruising back up the Missouri at the end of the day. It took a week to wipe the smile off her face.

OK. As part of my ongoing efforts to break anything that isn't broke, I'm messing with the frontpage to the site and, through some miracle, all the pictures are up... (actually I can't figure out how to get the !#@$!ing thing to stop
)
Anyway, check it out. As people add pics to this thread I'll pick a several every month and add them to the rotation.

Welcome Boatsrule! Pic has been added to the rotation.
BTW - holding your mouse cursor over the picture for a second will bring up a box telling you who's picture it is

Welcome aboard DeanA! Imageshack can be somewhat difficult to post pics from - it is giving you a link to a page, not a pic. Don't feel bad, lot's of people have trouble the first couple times. Check out the FAQ section of the site, I posted an article to help out.
This is the link you actually want
http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/7625/inlift9va.jpg
Then it looks like this
Nice ride!

No problem at all - that's what I'm here for. Don't be afraid to ask me, the other moderators, or the entire forum for help. Between us, I'm sure we can lend a hand.
