Do you know if he is reasonable and familiar with Volvo  XDP drives?  I may need him when my warranty is gone next season.  Also, my marina  will not let him on site unless insured.

Always make sure your mechanic is insured for working on a boat.  the laws are different being marine.

After what I'm going through, unless it is huge, it's the last time I pay for winterizing/maintenance.

Reasonable yes. Give him a call and ask as i'm not sure.  He works on my Merc.
