The last marina we stayed at (15 years ago) is no longer in existence, which was Marina Del Mar in Seaford.  I remember Treasure Island Marina in Wantagh was pretty run down and some of the boats at low tide were hitting bottom.  Have conditions improved there or can anyone recommend any other marinas between Merrick to Lindenhurst/Copaigue that might be  viable options.  Since we've been out for awhile, is it still difficult to get private dock space at someone's backyard bulkhead?

we keep our boat at the anchorage yacht club in lindenhurst  call at (631) 226-2760 and ask for a list of available slips for rent or sale. the rates are reasonable and includes winter storage.

Yes, I was at anchorage as well for a short period of time. Nice facilities
