Rhode River Fireworks - Sept 4
«

Anyone heading to the fireworks on Saturday, Sept 4th? They should be extremely nice if they are anything like in the past. It is all paid for by the locals and is at cost, meaning no overhead (I believe a local owns a firework business). I think it is better than most of the 4th. Lots of great places to anchor to watch it and there sometimes is a barge with live music going. Starts 8:30pm but gets the boats packed in earlier. Should be a great time. If anyone is interested in tying up let me know.
Rain dates are Sept 5 & 6.

Hey John,
We've already got about a five or six boat raft up for the fireworks - come on and join us!
Riverside,
The Rhode River is two rivers south of Annapolis (about 20 minutes further). To enter the Rhode you first enter the West River and the entrance to the Rhode is on your right about 3/4 mile up the West.
So far we've got a 390, 342, 250, a Wellcraft 30, and a 25 Bayliner, as well as my 420.

Dan, our plans are leaning that way, too. We've got a couple of 342s, a 360 and a 312 so far, but I know of another group including a 342 and 312 going, too. Should be one big party!!!

Hey I'm there for tying up! Just a warning, I'm not only going to have my pestery kids but my sister, brother-in-law, and their two boys (which might lead me to drinking
- actually, I'll need to behave to drive them back). But if you can put up with all of that then I'm in!
What time are you thinking? I can make a nice good afternoon out of this. Hmmm...if those stinking jellies weren't around it'd be even better to get the kids in the water (aka as out of the way). (sorry for the kid ranting, my sisters two boys can be a bit rowdy)....I originally had thoughts about anchoring out at pier six and listening to Pat Benatar and Reo Speedwagon, but too much for the big group of us, and the fireworks are awesome.
Riverside, come on down!

Glad you're planning on coming down - we might have quite a Rinker gathering unless ole Earl shows up. He could mess things up big time!

We had an awesome raft up for the fireworks show - 8 Rinkers and 1 Wellcraft (he's a wannabe - looking for a 390 or 400). There were two 390 Diesels!?!?, two 342's, a 320, a 310 (Dream 'Inn), a 250, and my 420.
The weather was perfect, the fireworks spectacular, the company fantastic, and the party was a ball! Once again Dream Inn's Mai-tai's claimed a victim (although one of the Admiral's Hurricanes was piled on top of that)
That's was boating is all about!

Sure was a fantastic time! I'm glad my nephews slept for a good part of it.
Hated to leave, but we really had a great time early the next morning at the Balt Aquarium as well.
I heard you made it back over there on Monday? We came out to the boat Monday and almost came over to visit, but the wind was howling and just sitting under the gazebo having the last mix of the mai tai was just fine (it also was the Admiral's B-day, so we did the dinner out thing too)
Had to be the best weekend weather of the summer!
