This is somewhat inline with my earlier post on the Merc 8HP engine. It's not that I'm lazy, I'd just rather not keep crawling down into my engine space on my 270 to hook up the hose to do a fresh water flush when I come in. I'll be honest - I'm better at drinking beer at that point when were in and shut down than crabbing around a cramped engine space with hoses -

So what's involved in extending that to a through-hull hose attachment point on the transom. Is it really just buying the stainless mount for the transom, drilling the hole and mounting it, and then running connector hose in between? Does it have to be a water pressure regulator fitting on the transom? Maybe an inline strainer?
