Shoaling in Kent Narrows?
«

I am heading though Kent Narrows on Monday for the first time this season. Anyone know how the channel...especially the North end is holding up?
Has there been much shoaling this season?
I prefer local knowledge to an outdated notice to mariners.
Thanks

I've been through a couple of times this summer with no problems. Its narrow, so stay within the channel markers. Piney Narrows (on the right heading south) has some of the cheapest gas on the Bay. There's also a new dock restaurant between Big Owls and The Jetty called Bridges. It's pricey but very good food if you'd like something nice.

Serenity,
Thanks for the info. I usually try to stop there for fuel. We will keep the restaurant in mind on the way back from St. Michaels.

Update: I came through the north narrows this weekend at low tide and only had about 3.5' of water between the first two sets of channel markers.

I did the narrows last weekend after the aquapalooza and didn't seem like any issues at all.
