Is there a shower sump on a '97 266FV? The head fills with water when we shower. It appears from the access port on the step that the shower drains through a hose that runs to the back of the boat. However, it seems that the hose must go over a dividing wall and that the rise in the hose is keeping the shower from draining. Where does that hose go in the back of the boat? I don't see it coming into the engine compartment. Could I cut the hose and allow the shower water to drain into the mid-sump (where the A/C and head seacocks are located) and allow the bilge pump there to get rid of it? Any suggestions?

If you run your hand down where the hose runs, you should find a plastic sump with a pump in it.  Real tight to get to, tighter to fix.  The pump or float should be bad.  It is probably an Attwoor 500 gallon pump,
