I am heading to the Northeast for a week.  Landing on Boston, and then heading north to Maine.  No real itenerary.  Would really appreciate any advice on any good charter companies in the area.  Really looking to get out on the water.  Prefer to do it solo, but understand things can be tricky in the Northeast.  Google searches just bring up massive charter brokers, and I would prefer to find a marina that rents, or a small company.  Thanks in advance for your advice!

Don't know of many charter companies, but there was a Rinker owner (MacInCT) that wound up "going big" by selling her Rinker and buying a 70' Johnson. She charters "Charmer" out of CT in the summer and Florida in the winter, and likely knows other charter companies in the area if you want to just rent a boat -- maybe she'll give you a break if you say you're from RBO!

Not sure of any private companies around but a whole bunch of small ones right out of Boston harbor. Real big deep sea fishing company out of Glouster MA. About an hour north of Boston called the "Yankee Fleet". Good luck and enjoy your trip......

Nacho,
Jodi and I along with some others are taking off this weekend for a week in Grafton/Alton so I don't know if I will see you before the big day. Best wishes from us both and enjoy the northeast. BTW, I have a grommet for your door the next time we cross paths.

Really appreciate the invite!

This is a good start - I know its hard to find boats to rent up in the NE.  Skinny water makes it difficult w/o local knowledge.

Any additional info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
