Anyone interested in getting a group buy together for the SeaDek swim platform pad?

Check out the website. www.seadek.com
They have some pretty detailed swim platform pads that look really sharp, just none for the Rinkers...yet.

All we have to get is 8, and they don't even have to be the same model boat.

The process will just be getting at least 8 people signed up and a template kits/kits ordered and the fun begins....

They have pretty intricate designs, you can do two color versions with logs and even a "Faux" Teak version.

I am in for a 232 pad.....

Put me down for a 232 pad.  Something like this quick mock up maybe:

That's awesome..the mock up is cool...Why did you leave that gap on the left?  Why not just one piece across there?

just symmetry.  I didnt think they could span the width.  It may have drainage too...

Also I liked this:

Depends on the cost and how well is looks on the swim platform.....

I amy just replace the carpet with this stuff.  No more smelly wet carpet.

My experience with SeDek;
I had an interest in putting a teak mat or custom white on my swim deck for my 08 246 BR. I ordered a template back in Feb and traced my footprint. I liked the adhesive backing and 5 mil thickness (easy on the knees)Sent it back around March 1st and waited. Finally got a email from the sales rep in the middle of June with a price quote of +/-$500 minus $15. (Chuck Yates) He said he was out of the country. I passed on the product even though I liked it. They couldn't give me a delivery date for a special order. Probably looking at 2011 season. Unfortunately it was the only company I could find that made this type of product. I will be watching your thread to hear what success you all have. ------Art

That is good information.
I read somewhere, maybe an email from them that the "stock pads" that are for sale on the site are 4 weeks as they are all made to order, but already digitized in the system.  New custom pads are 6 weeks; I can only assume it is taking them that long to digitize them.  They are pretty busy; it seems the product has taken off better than expected.

  As far as cost goes, I have looked at some other ones available on their site and it appears that some that is about the same size and detailed as the 232 would be about $280-$300, but that is only a guess. The whole kit for some of the Yamaha Jet boats are $500-$600.  Maybe they were as efficient when you asked them….?
