Hello all-thinking of making my first Clinton trip this Sat. Had a trip to Grafton planned but it got cancelled and I feel like travelling a little. Is clinton marina the only good ramp? I have an 07 250 fv. It will be only a day trip so where should I avoid and wheres the best place to hang out between runs? Not gona be tubing but I think a buddy is coming with a deck boat and he probably will with his kids. Thanks in advance!

I always put in at the state park.  You have to get there early though, after 11 there maybe no more parking spots.  Boondocks is a good place to eat, right at the state park.

I work at Boondocks Grill and Bait. the ramp JohnK95     refers too is at the Mascoutin Sate Park , Boondocks is located  just west of the ramp as is the beach area. You can dock your boat 30 feet from Boondocks using their docks.

I personally like the ramp there, usually the water isn't very rough , the West Side  ramp can get pretty rough, and you have a fair walk to make from the ramp to the parking lot.

The Marina has the best area to launch  a boat , they do charge 5 dollars to use the ramp, but to me there isn't much of an attraction there.

I haven't launch a boat at the other ramps in quite awhile.
