  been chasing this for awile. will get water in oil after running a short while.got good compression,and oil pressure.have
now started to get water pump squeal when it gets up to 2500 rpm.am wondering now could there be a connection?is there a way for a bad water pump to dump water through the back into the oil?

Depending on your motor cooling system: open or closed loop.  if it's an open system (lake water flows through the engine, not a heat exchanger) you need to be looking at: head gaskets, cracked head/block.  Head gaskets can be checked with a compression gauge.  If you have a cracked head/block there are other ways to check.  Have you overheated at all?  are you sure the water pump is working (moving water not just spinning).

How much water is geting into the oil?  pt, qt. or gl.??????
