I finally got the darn thing to turn on. The power was wired to an accessory switch at the helm which I finally found. Everything works except the fishfinder. It just says "No Data."

Anybody have any ideas about what to check first?

Thanks.

First thing I'd check is that the fishfinder is wired into the C70 (sometimes things come loose / unplug in the back of the unit) Second is whether it's getting power -- there have been some on the board that said their fish finders were wired on a separate circuit.

The sounder unit on my C70 has a separate trandsucer.  It requires the power to be turned on for that transducer to activate the signal. Check for a second transducer & make sure it has power to it.

Do you have a bottom sounder?  the Raymarin C 70 is set up to accept several additional operations,  the fish finder does not come standard.  Note when powering off the display unit, turn it off at the display, hold the button until the unit turns off.  Once unit is off then you can power off the accy switch.  Al

Ok. I have a depth sounder that only works with either the engines running or the keys turned on. Sounds like the fish finder will work if I start the boat first.

I will give that a try and report back.

I appreciate all the help.

Ok. I tried the fishfinder again once I had power to the depth sounder but had no luck. It still said "No Data". I checked the ad that was posted when I bought the boat and it lists a fishfinder as an option so I think it is installed.

Anyone know where to check and see if I have two transducers installed? Boat is already in the water. I would think in the bilge area but not sure what they look like from the inside.

Thanks.

The in dash depth finder has nothing to do with the Raymarine unit.  The Raymarine unit has an optional bottom sounder.  This is not standard, just as Radar is available for the unit but not standard.  Check the Raymarine website for a Bottom sounder.  This will need to be installed as well as the transducer.  Al
