Hi,

We have a 2001 190 Captiva.  We are going to sell it, but have a question about the interior.  The vinyl has mold stains on it after the harsh winter.  We have cleaned it once and plan on trying again, but I'm not sure we are going to be successful.  Does it make sense to replace the vinyl and/or seats all together or just sell as is?  Also, the padded seats that can be removed in the back of the boat have come apart at the seams.  I do plan on having them repaired or replaced.

This was our first boat and we really enjoyed it.  It runs great, but the interior could look better.  I just don't have a good feeling for how to get the boat ready to sell.  Any suggestions for cleaning it up would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Marykate

I would do the repairs, but just try the best to clean the mold.  There are many things out there to try, including Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser, which does wonders.  But, IMO, you will never get the money back out how much it will cost to replace the vinyl.
