Just sprayed mine last night and it looks good (not as neat as yours though). Can't wait to put them back in this weekend. Thanks for the tip!

How did you find snap covers on ebay?  What did you call them and where did you search?  I can't find them

Tell you what ..... if anyone is considering doing this but is hessitant, send me your rag back carpeting and I will do the backing for a nominal fee. I have everything needed to do them here and as you saw in my pics I am rather meticulous with the job I do.  thumbsup

An alternative to carpet is a product called deckadence. It's a rubberized carpet like material. It's heavy, so it lays flat and won't fly out of the boat. We've just had it about a month. It cleans up easily and hasn't stained so far. It is expensive by the square foot but easy to diy custom fit. their website has color samples and probably a dealer locator.

2003 Fiesta Vee 25, same problem with carpet, have been pondering a solution and thought, there must be a spray you can use.  Thanks for the info, I can't wait to get at it.

I found these snap caps over in the local marine supply store - marpac white snap caps - but they are for #6 & #8 screws... They are too large for the snaps I have on my little boat. What are the snap caps that folks on the site have ordered? Or did you just do like I thought about and put a tad of caulk on there to keep it in place...

No Gin. This is the first chance to reply about the rubberizer. Unforunately, it came off the back of the carpet as bad or worse than the original stuff. We spent a couple of hours last night trying to get the black off the floor and there are several more hours ahead. We will be ordering new carpet over the winter to be ready for spring.

Uggg, that sucks! I just took my carpets out the other day and all is good. I let mine dry in full sunlight for 3 days during the Summer to make sure it was good and dry and adheared well. I am still planning on replacng carpet with the vinyl type wood decking next season.. carpets to much of a PITA!!
