Read to the end.

BEST LAWYER/INSURANCE STORY OF THE YEAR, DECADE, AND POSSIBLY THE CENTURY.

This took place in Charlotte , North Carolina .

A lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars,
then insured them against, among other things, fire.

Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of these
great cigars, the lawyer filed a claim against the insurance company.

In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost
in a series of small fires.

The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious
reason, that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion.

The lawyer sued and WON!

(Stay with me.)

Delivering the ruling, the judge agreed with the
insurance company that the claim was frivolous. The judge stated nevertheless,
that the lawyer held a policy from the company, in which it had warranted
that the cigars were insurable and also guaranteed that it would insure them
against fire, without defining what is considered to be unacceptable
'fire' and was obligated to pay the claim.

Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process, the
insurance company accepted the ruling and paid $15,000 to the lawyer for his
loss of the cigars that perished in the 'fires'.

NOW FOR THE BEST PART...

After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance company
had him arrested on 24 counts of ARSON!!! With his own insurance
claim and testimony from the previous case being used against him,
the lawyer was convicted of intentionally burning his insured property and
was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a $24,000 fine.

This true story won First Place in last year's Criminal

Lawyers Award contest.

ONLY IN AMERICA ....

Everyone checks stories using Snopes, even myself but who checks Snopes to see if they are correct?

Ok I am going to stir the pot here and cause some trouble (all in fun here). I remember not that long ago, PartsMan bragging about his Cav's and Dan (Dan&darci) then trying to double team me. All of a sudden Dream (Inn) makes it a three way on me. All this and the Celts were beaten up pretty badly and Garrnett was out. Now I see Dream giving it to PartsMan with snopes. Were is the loyalty? Rinker brothers and sisters turning on each other. Well why dont you sell your Rinkers and buy Searay or something. Oh well I have gone on long enough. Just kidding everyone, have a great night and come on summer. I need my Rinker....

I'm just treating it as another "cabin fever" symptom, and we'll all be fine once we're all back on the water!   The first raftup and a few drinks and we'll all be back singing Kum-Bay-ya!  thumbsup (or, if you're in my marina, something unprintable!) pirate

This rant was not about the Cav's and Celt's. I was setting the tone. It was about loyalty and how Dream snoped you. I thought I had your back....LOL. As far as the Celts being old, well they might be but I think they are pacing them selves for the playoffs so they can beat the Cav's.......

I'm always on Partsman side.  I mean, he's a Rinker owner and a Cavs fan!  As far as being snoped...I just figure all of my Rinker buddies needed to know the truth. ROFL

you know, all this basketball stuff, and I should admit I really don't even watch the games.  I'm just a die hard Cleveland fan for all of their sports.   bang head

(Sorry, I'm really have it tough this month - I've given up drinking for Lent - no, I'm not even Catholic - but the admiral does it cause it's a good way to prepare for boating season...given up after dinner snacks bang head, and for some reason holding out on uncovering the boat for a few more weeks bang head bang head......so, the frustration has to go somewhere! ROFL)

I guess I'm more an Indians and Browns fan.  But doggonit, basketball is the only sport right now that Cleveland has any chance at. bang head If Shaq could just have a substitute at the free throw line. pray

I'm with you Raybo on a loyal Rinker fan!  Although I will say I've been looking at many others for the next one (Rinker just doesn't make the bridge/sedan style scratch head)

Dream what is "doggonit"? Remember I am from Boston. Now lets talk about this bridge boat stuff. I dont get it, why would I want to drive my boat from a bridge when everyone else is in the cockpit having a great time? Sorry I just am not a bridge boat guy. Another reason why I love my Rinker.
