Well, it's been a bit slow on the Chesapeake part of the forum here.  With the weather getting in the 50's this weekend, what a better time to talk about the next Rendezvous!   Still Pond really seemed to work well last year, but I'm up for other suggestions too.  & there are a few more new members out there in the bay on this forum, so maybe we can get to meet them as well.  & can't wait to see Martha in her 310!  (Sorry Todd, but I know who pushed for that one clapping)

Sometime in July/August always seems to work out.  Aug 14/15 is Pirates/wenches pirate at Rock Hall and the beginning of our 10-day trip.  I think we're gonna try to hit it this year, at least anchor out (heck, I turn 40 on the 14th, so it's a good way to celebrate).  We won't have the kids the two weekends before that, so those are game as well thumbsup.  Maybe this time Sea Monkeys can show with his kids instead! ROFL

July is pretty much open for us.  Again, let's get some ideas going out there!

Right now our summer calendar is wide open.  Let's pick a date & schedule the rest of the summer around it!  thumbsup

I'll throw a couple of dates out.  How about either the weekend of July 9th or August 20th?  We're big fans of Still Pond and Fairlee, even though we only came up for a day with the bowrider.

We'd vote for Still Pond over Fairlee as the water seemed much cleaner there.

I'm liking the July 9th date Chris.  It even happens to fall on my every other Friday off weekend. thumbsup Also a bit earlier in the year might be good too.

I'm guessing Still Pond is gonna be the favorite again - just hope the wind isn't out of the North. bang head (although I usually wait till a bit later in the summer to head north, since that is when the jelly's start our way)

I'm sure others will chime in over the next few weeks. watching

JULY  9TH WORKS FOR ME, THAT WOULD BE A GOOD END TO OF OUR 10 DAY VACATION....... I ALSO LIKE STILL POND .... JOHN.  PIRATES AND WENCHES WEEKEND IS ON MY LIST THIS YEAR, WE MAY HAVE TO DO ANOTHER RAFT UP FOR THAT.  I WOULD THINK WE COULD GET DAVE (RIVERSIDE) TO GO AND DRINK SOME RUM WITH US TOO. WHAT DO YOU THINK DAVE?

That would be great if you could make it down from Jersey! thumbsup  At age 1 1/2, he will sleep the whole way! pray  Definitely get your buddy too!  As always, a great time!

& Dave, you are now expected to make it! naughty  Even getting back from Philly on the same day!  I'm planning on getting there early as well.  Maybe this year we won't have to ride out a storm together! thumbsup (But noone better to do it with thumbsup)

Gonna be a beautiful weekend coming up!

All, interested in joining. The admiral and I are traveling the week before so will need to talk her into it... watching...   but would be fun. We would be bring our 2 year old also. I will follow the thread a bit and let folks know as we get closer. Never made it up to still pond so new locations are good.

I will be talking to a couple of my friends and see if they are interested as well. Owners of a Rinker 360 and a 270. I will see what their plans are.

Drifter, that's great to hear you are starting the little out early on the boat! thumbsup  We started both of our kids (now ages 9 and soon to be 7) from the time they were born.  Definitely talk the admiral into going.  There will be a few of us coming out of the South River (that's where we are).  So you are definitely welcome to follow us up or back or both.  I believe this is the 4th year in a row we'll have gotten together, and as always a great time with lots of great people!

& corral42, definitely the more the merrier!  It's always great to see so many Rinkers tied up together! thumbsup (& yes, we get one or two wannabes too naughty, but we accept them all)

Dream Inn,

I don't want to jinx myself by saying we'll be there...we planned to attend the the past two summers and then life snuck up and changed our plans.  Hopefully we'll make it this year...the kids are always clamoring for more "boat friends!"

Glad to see that the Chesapeake fleet is expanding.

Phil, it will be great to see you and Vickie along with the kids!

I have a question for those thinking about coming.  I asked this last year as well, anyone want to do a T-shirt for the event this year?  I thought about maybe looking at a couple places online and seeing what kind of deal we could get for some shirts, maybe saying 4th annual chesapeake rinker rendezvous or something of the sort.  Maybe a boat pic on it.  I'm all up for any ideas, especially something not terribly expensive, but not gonna shrivel up after the first wash either.  I might even put one in each of the gift bags if the price is right.  Maybe someone knows of someone that will get us a good deal?
