Where do the fuel tanks vent to? I want to check mine aren't clogged.

I was putting fuel in and there was a LOT of air being pushed back out the fuel inlet as I was doing it, on both tanks. Is that normal?

The vents on my 342 are right at the fill cap.

Rinker uses the Perko stuff with the integrated vent in the filler.

OK, so normal then if the vent is built into the filler?

Yes, many manufacturers are using the same version.  Al

Question...    If the Vent is in the fill cap...    how does it let air in the tank if the fill cap is sealed?   scratch head

Is that why Rinkers (and others that use this vent) tend to spit up sometimes at the fuel dock when topping off?

The cap is a vented cap also.  I have seen the "spit back at you" on this type of fuel fill from Perko.  It is nice and clean looking, easy to install, no extra vents on the side.  When refilling I tend to start slow at the pump for a couple gallons and gradually speed up the flow.  The larger the tank the harder it is to get the air flowing.  Al
