Skiing behind a 262 or 282 Cuddy?
«

How easy is it to ski behind these two models with a 496 engine package? Hopefully next year we are looking to upgrade from the 232CC. If it is basically impossible to ski behind one we are going to go ahead and get a cruiser instead.
Thanks,
A.J.

Either one will work great, I have several customers with both models, Skiing and tubing are the norm. Make sure you buy with the Mercruiser 496 BIII package, The 282 should be proped with 24 pitch and the 262 26 pitch. Al

I had a 2007 262 with a 350 mpi, and No problem with skiing and tubing. Very fast to go on plane.
48 mph top speed.
With a 496 engine, this boat will be very fast and plaisant!!

I had a 1999 272 with the Merc 350 / 300 hp / Bravo 3 setup and it was great for skiing, tubing and kneeboarding. I don't wake board but I'd imagine that it would be fine for that too.

It should be no problem with the 496. I have a 282 bowrider with the basic 6.2 Merc and it moves around fine (not great, but OK), so the 496 should be great!
