We just bought this 1996 Ford F350 Dually 7.5L 4:10 Gears to haul our little Captiva 282 BR around. It had 27,700 original miles on it and we got it for $4400.00. It will pass up everything except for a Gas Station. I feel like I should be hauling one of those around instead of a boat.
We were pulling this boat around with a 2003 Toyota Tundra but I didnt want to destroy it driving through the mountains. We just went to Lake Mead with this truck pulling the boat behind it and we were able to get 9mpg. At todays fuel prices I'm not sure how much traveling we are going to be doing in this truck but I almost don't even know that boat is back there.

Nice set up!   For the price you can almost swallow the gas prices....almost.  Hopefully they come down after all this HIPE.
When you are out the water it all seems worth it.

Have the Escalade with the same package ( the reason this post was set up) and I will say it handles great!  Next truck though will be a 3/4 ton deisel to handle the NEXT Rinker  thumbsup  Hopefully a 280EC

Just picked up a 2010 F150 FX4 Crew Cab. Pulls the boat like a dream and has plenty of room for the family. Can't wait to pull the boat down to Lake Cumberland and see how this thing handles the hills.
