After spending most of last year fighting the "odor" issue on our 2003 342, I purchased Big Orange and will installing the unit as soon as the snow thaws.  I've read the various threads on installation locations and I'm leaning towards installing in the port storage compartment.  I'm wondering if that location presents any problems and/or are there other locations that have allowed easy access for servicing and does not increase the possibility of odor.

I can only speak for my 2003 342 and it's particular layout (I'm not sure they are all identical) but the port storage area under the seating was really my only option for installation.

Thanks Black Diamond for the information.  I looked at the installation pics on your 342 and spent so time this weekend making the holder for the unit.  Can't wait until all this snow melts and me and the Admiral can start enjoying the season again....odor free!!
