Well, since it is winter up here in the Northeast, I figure let's see some good pictures of your boat in the snow.  Yeah, we are supposed to be getting another blast here in Annapolis.  I hadn't been down to my boat since November so I figured, last minute, I better get down there today to make sure it is doing ok since we keep getting all these snows.  Yeah, I know, a little late since we got the 22 inches in December would've been a better time to check.

There was just a couple inches of snow on the pier, but I figure after 2 feet I may not be able to get down there to take another picture.  So, here it is...

Oh, I counted 2 boats that had canvas collapsed and 1 that had the back end (in the cockpit bang head) collapsed.  With all this snow, they aren't gonna be very happy.  But, anyone I knew on our pier seemed to be doing ok.  Although I was surprised how many just left their canvas up for the winter. huh

It's gonna be a wet heavy snow this time around.  (I keep going outside and shaking the magnolia tree the admrial talked me into planting in our yard a few years ago bang head...any tree that doesn't loose it's leaves belongs in the south)

Let's see some great pictures!! thumbsup

Hey John, I walked past your boat the week after christmas and it looked fine.  If you get to the marina , try to find mine and give me a report.  The service manager talked me out of shrink wrapping this year because he said they don't get much snow, ( you know that isn't the case this year).  So it is sitting with camper canvas up and no other protection.  Can't wait untill april.........

KC, no doubt just in a few months we will be sipping a few good drinks!  & even talking about this crazy storm!  We've got our driveway all shoveled out already...so, needless to say, having a good stiff drink!

Todd, where is your boat?  I'm assuming it's on land somewhere?  Is there a name on it?  I wish I had known when I was there, but I'd like to get down there again at some point soon, this is a heavy snow.  I'll definitely take a look for you.

Dale, great picture!  I'd love to see some more after this storm.  If they actually plow my road, I'd love to get one of mine!  (I'll get one of yours too Todd)

John.....no the boat doesn't have a name, and the last time I saw it , they had it sitting right next to the service garage.

I think i might have a couple for you...  First a little back story. I literally just bought my boat about 2 weeks ago. I posted this a few days ago http://www.rinkerboatowners.com/forum/index.php/topic,6417.0.html

So i'm freaking out with the "calapsing" concern with the camper canvas. Long story short, we had about 4 inches on the ground before this storm started and officially via the crofton, MD reading we got 34 inches of "heavy" snow. to say that i have been a stress case thinking about the new toy would be an understatement. Sooo...

I started digging. Of course I don't own a snow blower or a plow and did I mention i have a decent length in driveway...  All dug out by hand. Notice how small the shovel looks...

and here is a shot down the driveway

Once I finished digging out I hit the road. The roads are horrible and the drive to the marina is an hour on a good day. Finally made it to the boat which is in the very back of the yard so I have about 200 yards of walking in snow up to my thighs. For reference this is what the boat looked like before snow....

Now after snow...

I am happy to report no damage. The braces did their job. Others in the yard didn't do so well.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed . I am very happy that the new toy is ok. Now i need a bottle of asprin and a long nap...   :)  The admiral thinks I am offically crazy but I know I will enjoy the game so much better knowing the boat is OK.

PS: Here is one final pick looking back down the yard. Notice my tracks are the only ones. Maybe the admiral has a point...  embarassed  Anyway, if you look close you can see a 270 Chaparral who didn't fair so well. It was just the cockpit cover but I bet it ripped. I hope I'm not in this situation again.

grin One more "hiding in the pic" thing i forgot. In the pic with the shovel, if you look in the top right hand corner you will notice what looks like a weird snow pile..  That's the admiral's car...  completely buried... She might think I'm crazy but are we puting odds on her expecting me to dig it out...  smiley

did you actually shovel your drive?  If so, hats off to ya.  I would have not done so.  lol.  I do use a 28hp snow blower hooked to my tractor to move any snow.  Al

Drifter, great pictures!  I live probably 5-10 miles east of you.  The admiral & I also did our driveway by hand.  We were the first done in our neighborhood!  Our first shoveling was at midnight on Friday night.  4 more times later we were done about an hour after the storm stopped Sat evening.

The backyard

Wanna play? ROFL

The admiral, happy that it's all done

& the best picture, the only thiing that could dig us out!

I know, they aren't boat snow pictures...I'd like to get down to the boat before the next snow on Tuesday night (yea, another 8 or 10 inches is expected bang head)

As much as I love the snow (from OH originally), I'm good for the year now!
