All, i just purchased a new to me 300 EC. Long story short, the camper canvas is still on the boat (set up) and we have a big snow heading our way... again... I have always pulled off the canvas when winterizing and either tarped or wrapped the boat (basically i have never been in this situation before). I thought (hoped) that since it was this late in this year i might not get the boat wrapped (i am willing spring here!) and was just going to leave the top on until spring as the "cover."

So my question; how big of an issue is this? I have seen some dealers who just put 2x4s up to support the framework. Is this enough or do I need to pull the top off and put some type of cover on? Thanks in advance for your thoughts/experience.

I would say put your 2x4 and go see your boat during the snow storm with a large broom to remove the snow... you will be fine, it happened to me 2 years ago...

Thanks. That makes me feel a little better. I just heard "significant" storm with "at least" a foot including freezing rain....  For those of you in the NE, anybody else tired of snow yet?  angry
