Anyone else have trouble getting the end caps on the rams after the installation? I think I am going to have to grind them down a little to get them to screw in. The directions did not address which side the washers went on or if they got replaced at all. The bracket Halo bracket does not allow the caps to catch the threads.

I haven't installed mine yet - you should give Simrek a call and talk to Paul (the owner) and I'm sure he can get you going.

I think I will just modify the caps a bit for now. Thanks.

It's been a couple years since I put mine on but I'm pretty sure I left the washers off.  Tightened the caps best as I could.  Don't remember modifying them.  Boat is still in storage so I can't look at it to be sure.

the washers are not reused for the aft ram pin,  the mount for the shower replaces them.  Be carefull to not strip the threads in the black caps.   I hope everyone will have success with the drive showers.  Al

Al, is there a torque spec for the caps? I don't have a service manual to consult.

Thanks Al. I will take the washers off. As far as the torque goes, I usually just snug them down hand-tight.
