Need some help.  Does anyone know how to remove the microwave in a 2005 -342?  I removed 4 screws from the underside, which allowed the microwave to move. problem is it needs to move back so I can remove some screws in the top of the black trim below the door so it will slide out. Cannot seem to move it back.

Thanks

I had to destroy the microwave in order to remove it.  I just could not find a way to do it.  After removing all the screws, it just would not come out.

It appears to be screwed to a plywood board which is in turn screwed to the panel.  Sorry.  Maybe some else on this forum has decoded the method for removing it intact. cry

The only way anything behind the electric panel, shelves, etc on that side of the boat can be accessed is to remove the whole shelf assembly.  I have not done it myself but I have seen it done twice, on my boat, by the Rinker approved mechanic, one of the times to replace a defective microwave.

When the shelf assembly is in the postion you can work on the stuff of interest, the thing is crosswise of the cabin, the narrow end resting on the dinette table and the fat end resting on the stove.  There are lots of wires coming up out of the side of the boat that are now stretched reaching the switch panel.

Big project.  I have a number of reasons I want to get back there but the reason that is big enough as not come up yet.  When it does, I will fix/improve a number of the small things that I have on the list.

One of the things I have in mind is to trim a small amount from the top and the bottom of the plexiglas door assembly so that I would be able to remove that without removing the entire shelf assembly, the idea being to be able to get behind the electric panel without dismanteling the whole side of the boat.

Thanks for the help.  Unfortunatly your imput confirms what I did not want to hear.  Hope someone else has better news. Also Tony on the plexi door on the electric panel. If you remove the screws then lift the cover upwards and pull out hard on the bottom, it just scrapes on the corian trim, but comes out. At least mine did.
Hope this helps.
