I'm moving to Columbus, OH and looking to boat the Scioto river and Alum creek. Anybody boat here before? Thoughts or experiences on either body of water?

I'm originally from Dayton, Ohio (many years ago) and grew up boating Indian Lake (Russells Point, Ohio) about an hour northwest of Columbus.  I have fond memories; it is a nice lake for boating.

It has been about 10 years since I have been to Alum. It is a pretty nice lake to just relax and enjoy water sports. If you're looking to hit a few bars and enjoy a few good restaurants then Indian Lake is the place to be.
