RBO North East Gathering 2010

Anyone interested in having a gathering next season somewhere in the LI - NY area? I see many other forums and boat owner forums doing this and would like to start something up.

Could be on to somethere there, NO GIN - depending on when and where, could be a a great thing. I know there are a couple of other guys down here on the south shore. Might have to look at training up through the Shinnecock Locks for a meet-up out between the Forks...

I am game for anywhere really. Somewhere with clear blue water and room enough for our boats to tie up on the hook or grab a bunch of transient slips (depending on cost). I heard 3 Mile Harbor in Sag Harbor is supposed to be gorgeous in the Summer or maybe even Block Island. My wife is a teacher and run my own business so I am very flexible with when to do it. Let's start throwing some things against the wall and see what sticks. Next Summer will be here before we know it!

I know this is probably the last thing on everyones mind but let's put some thought into a little Rinker gathering shall we?

My wife and I are planning a week trip with the boys sometime in Early July. Looks like we will be going from the Peconic; Riverhead ~ Greenpoprt ~ Orient Point ~ Block Island ~ Montauk ~ Sag Harbor ~ then return back home. We hope to be out on the boat every week and have a few other big trips as well. Anyone wanting to hook up let me know so we can take advantage of this way to short season in NY!

Whereabouts in the sound... My home port is in the raritan bay but i do most of my overnight boating in the sound

 I will meet up anywhere! I have my Thompson in Mt. Sinai Harbor and my Rinker at a private marina out east in the Peconic. The Peconic is great b/c I can take the Shinnecock and access the south shore, keep heading east and hit Block Island, or head north around Orient Point and the in the LI Sound and easily hit CT.  My wife and I are planning our Summer trips now and would like to put this little Rinker Owners gathering together ASAP so we can plan accordingly.

i would be interested in a rinker gatering.. my home port is in the raritan bay nj so i really would want to go further than greenport ny....Actually i am travelling out there the week of july 26 with 3 other boats they are not rinkers...

Let's make this happen! I think I am actually going to be bringing the Rinker back to Mt. Sinai Harbor in the LI Sound where I keep my Thompson.

OK - cool - i've seen a bunch more people from the Bronx and Southern LI - would be cool to raft up and hang.

Anyone interested? Id like to plan this out and get a good count of boats. I have a good friend that owns a big screen print shop on LI and would like to have some shirts made up for this if it works out. Please PM me or reply here so we can make this happen.
