. . . . . Dreamin' of Summer

« on: September 13, 2009, 12:53:25 PM »

I am seriously considering a 2003 270 FV. I am looking to make the purchase this week. The boat is shrink wrapped and winterized as the owner, good friend of mine, didn't use it this summer. I know the boat is in great shape and I will demo it this week but I would love to jump on board someone elses 270 just to get a feel of the performance and room while cruising to make sure she is the one for me. Any players???

PS - I am not a psycho looking to chop you up and steal your boat!!   shades

No Gin -

I have an 05 FV 270 - I'm down on the south shore in a slip over in Amityville. I'd be happy to swing do there with you this week if you'd like to take a look. It'd be great to know yet another 270 owner locally to swap info and help if needed.

No worries about being chopped up - 20 years in the Marines and 4 combat tours doesn't guarantee a win but it does pretty much guarantee a good fight.  grin

jjlovett ~ That would be awesome man! I have a flexible schedule during the week between 10:00 and 2:00. I am headed to oceanside this Tuesday to pick up a drive for my current boat around 11:00. If you are available we can do it around noon or otherwise when is most convenient to you!   thumbsup

PS - I can be your North Shore connection if you ever want to run the sound!

No Gin - I work days in Islandia so mid-day is tough (especially T-W-T when my youngest is in daycare). I can do evenings and just about anytime on Friday as I can work from home. Hope that works.

I grew up in Stony Brook and used to ski in Conscience Bay and hang out in Pirates Cove all the time. We used to sit out at the Cove and watch for new boaters dancing with Miller's Rock as a way to pass the time.
