I connected the batteries last night, and was able to get power to only half of the electronics. The boat will turn over, and the dash lights will come on, but the horn, cockpit lights, bilge, and blower will not work. The front and rear lights on the boat (ancilary lights) will not work. Also, the lights inside the cuddy will come on, but only with the key turned to the auxilary position. The stereo will not turn on. The batteries were charged last Wed. and all electronics worked last Sat. and Tues. night.

The lights inside the cuddy, the horn, and the bow lights and rear light should work at any time, correct? Any ideas?

Where are most of the fuses located?

Thanks.

Josh, shot in the dark here, (no pun intended  cheesy) perhaps when you reconnected your batteries, there was another power source leading to all that doesn't work that you did not reconnect? Just a thought.

That's an excellent thought, and one that I thought of too. I checked, but all wiring is connected. It's almost as if I blew one fuse - the fuse that handles all power to the right side of the dash - the horn, bilge, blower, lights, etc.

Thanks.

Hmm wondering if its not a ground wire issue . I believe all those are wired in series . I would look at the connections and make sure everything is clean . Wiggle ever so gingerly some wires to see if anything lights up . 2nd , there is a major power plug located in the engine compartment . On my 236 it is on the left side ( looking at engine bay from back seat ) of the engine towards the rear , on top . Its a big round ( 2-3 ) inches in diameter male/female plug . All your electrics go thru that . the connections could be corroded or not making good contact . Take a look at that I am suspecting that might be the culprit . It does worry me that you need auxillary to turn on inside cuddy lights . they should come on without the key being on . I hope no one messed with how the connections turn on with the key/ignition switch . Good luck .

I had same kind of condition 2 seasons ago and found a fuse holder on Possitave cable...  I single fuse 25 amp I think...  look there if you haven't fixed it yet.

Found it - fixed it. It was tucked up under the motor. Only way to find it was to lay on top of the engine, slide down the side, and peak up underneath. It was there, but hard to find. There weren't any wires leading to it from the battery, and the only way I found it was by laying down and looking everywhere.

Thanks for the help and good thoughts. We're out and boating. Lake Monroe Indiana this weekend, and Brookville Lake 4th of July weekend.

Thanks.
