I have jsut received th basic spec sheets and photos for the new Rinker 230 Atlantic.  Looks like they will have a winner with this one!!!

This is a "clean sheet of paper" design, not based on any existing hull.

24' LOA with Plaform
22' Hull Length
8' 6" Beam
4950 Dry weight
20  Degree Deadrise
50 Gal Fuel
10 Water
5' Bridge Clearance
53" Cabin Head Room
5.0 Litre V-8 Standard Power

Not too much other information has trickled down to my desk, but if anyone has any questions, I'll try to help.

Sweet - I just assumed it would be based on an existing hull. Good to know they are moving forward with new hull designs for the BR/Cuddy set.

I don't know how I can get a pic to you, as all I have it a teaser sheet with a couple running boat shots and a collage of feature pics on the back.  The Quote on the front goes like this:

" New Value in a Weekend Cuddy- Introducing the 230 Atlantic from Rinker.

"Working with an acclaimed marine architect, Rinker literally started from scratch in the development of this exciting new 230 Atlantic weekend cuddy.  Designed to meet the needs of the weekend boaters looking for overnight accommodations, the 230 Atlantic incoporates Rinker's 60 years of boat-building experience and knowledge.

"The new hull glides through the water with an LOA of 22 feet. The optional extended swim platform brings the LOA to 24 feet.  With an eight foot, six inch beam and 4,950 pounds of wave-crusing weight, the 230 Atlantic feels like a much larger boat. the fully equipped cuddy cabin is open and airy with the large lockable hatch, twin port lights and oversized Bowmar operating hatch.  The 230 Atlantic includes a porti-potti cabinet with storage to starboard and a hanging locker to port.

"Rinker has broken the mold on the weekend cuddies with the new 230 Atlantic.  Now Rinker Value is available in a whole new category"  (whew)

Wow - I'm staring (thanks to steveyacht) at pics of the 230 Atlantic. I don't know if it's a new hull or not, but it's certainly a completely different boat! Basically a pocket cruiser. I'll scan pics and post ASAP.

Also got pics of the 420, which is beautiful, but I think its just a name change from the 410 (ala 310/312/320). I'd still sell my soul for one :-)

Thanks steve!!!!!!!
