I was thinking of cutting in a new port hole in the back berth, facing inside the cockpit.
Has anyone ever cut one in.
It gets pretty hot in the back berth, just tring to cool it off with out running the A/C

As long as it is facing the cockpit, I wouldn't imaging it to be a huge job (other than the fact that cutting holes in boats scares the !@#$ out of me!)

Before cutting through gelcoat, make sure you use plenty of masking tape to outline the cutting area, otherwise the gelcoat will spider crack from the cutting motion. Better to use a rotary cutter than a saw... just my two cents worth.

I would at least score around the cutting area with a rotary tool and be sure to burnish any holes to keep the gel coat from cracking after the instalation
