Sorry,
didn't mean to take it off the thread...especially since it is one that I am really interested in. I haven't had working gauges since I bought my boat 3 seasons ago. I've taken them out and cleaned them and still no luck. I am fortunate I can just raise the hatch a little and see them both very easily, so it hasn't been a big issue. But, it would still be nice to have them working.

perhaps off topic here for second but the best post i have seen to resolve this problem is to install an (inexpensive) back up camera in the engine compartment and you will be able to see the tanks and know accurately what is in the tanks ...this is the KISS method ..lol..

That sounds like a great idea! How much did you pay for the camera?

Wish I could do that with the camera but my fresh water tank is on the centerline of the boat underneath the cabin and the holding tank is only accessible by removing the queen size mattress from the aft cabin and completely removing the bed frame. No good answer for me now, but it was a breeze to check on the levels in my 320 just by opening the engine hatch.

If you have the Fireboy/Xenix gages, the sensors have a 5 yr warranty..cal and they will ship you new ones.

Unfortunately you still have to get them out and back in and what happens to the open hole while waiting for the replacement?
