My boat is a 1995 190 Captiva with the 4.3L V-6.  The guy I bought it from was a maintenance nut, and used ValveTect gas additive religiously.  I was just wondering if anyone else has used this stuff, and if there are any opinions on this product or other similar ones.

Also, I've been using Seafoam in my motorcycles, lawn mowers, weed eaters, etc. with good results for several years.  Anybody use it in their boat?

Can these two products be used together safely?

Are these or any other gas or oil additives necessary or adviseable?  I'm curious what others are doing......

Thanks,

Couple guys on my dock use StarTron and swear by it. I don't have any experience with it personally though. To hear them talk, it will even keep the boat afloat if the bottom falls out  :D
