FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Several state parks would be forced to close and as many as 300 state workers in the cabinet that oversees the parks would be laid off next year if the state doesn't get the money from Gov. Steve Beshear's proposal to raise the cigarette tax, the top parks official warned yesterday.
