Alex

You may be able to find that data from Boating Magazine.  they do boat tests and publish the results in their magazine, and keep them in their archive on line.

Alex, check with Rinker.  They were able to provide that type of information for the 370 I owned.

Alex

I have the same Boat but with a 5.7l GI Volvo. I have a Fuel Flow Sensor in my System and at about 30mph / 4600rpm I burn 13.1 gal/hr. It will result in 2.20 mi/gal. This Numbers are with 2 People and thetre weekend Grear, 75 gal of fuel , half Fresh Water Tank ,half Waste Water and a Dinghy.

Hope it helps

If I am lucky I get 2.1 mpg at 30mph and about 4300 RPM would love to get the 3.3 though.

I try to stay under 4000rpms.  Last fall I checked at 4400-4500 and just peaked at 2mpg.  Made a big difference with little lower rpms.  I pull tabs up other than to ballance load.  I also trim to the highest point for the smoothest ride.  And it really is not a big differnce in MPH

What pitch props are you running?  I'm picked up some 22" that I am going to run this weekend on Lake Michigan.  Interesting you were getting 3.3.  When I did the Loop Cruise this spring I figured I used about the same amount of fuel as I would have with my 232.  That boat has the 454 with B1 drive.  Always got about 2.8 mpg in that at cruise but going 32mph and not 28 like the 270.

I have 24" prop.  I hit hard to get on plane and then throttle down to mid 3000 rpms, can really feal the differnce when you start to plane and throttle down.  But, there is a fine line between cruising at that rpm and falling off plane.  If I hit around 3200 bow will drop and you can feel the push of water.  When I first got the boat would run around 4000+ rpms and would get from low 2-2.8 MPG.  This year has been running about 2 mpg or less throttling up and down dodging logs all summer long.  But now that river is almost normal will run hard and try to get new data on faster rpms.  Will prob. have to wait till fall when we just run the river, otherwise we pull into a lot of coves and shallow water at idle and won't get a good reading on MPG

The thing about Lake Michigan is when you get rollers you run hard up them then fly down them.  Sometimes they cause you to come off plane then you throttle up and she takes off.  Hoping for an easier run with the 22s.  The 24s are great on the river and flat water.

Normally we leave the marina early in the am and might not even see a boat till 10:00am or so.  on our way home it is normally just before dark.  Our marina is off the normal path of most boaters in the area and with no wind, normally flat water all the time.  That is why we like our marina, we normally drive 40+ miles per day, where most of our friend just go about 3 miles round trip. (why have a boat if you don't ride is my theory).

We only do about 20 miles on a normal day.  I enjoy just being able to sit on my boat.  Very comfortable and relaxing to sit and float all day.

we like to float home, watch the sun set and travel the great river road.  my buddies pull around the island, stand in the sand all day and have water patrol watch them all day,  what is the fun in that.
