Have 2005 Fiesta Vee 300. Noticed soaked carpet on top of the dinette seat foundation (underneath the cushions). Any idea where water may be coming from? Looked closely for any staining above the seat line and have not found any. Is it possible forward hatch is leaking and water running between ceiling shell and liner, then coming down around anchor locker inspection plate and finally carpeted area alond the top of the seating foundation? Any clues would be appreciated.

Might want to check your portholes to see if they are leaking down the liner.

Check what Talon suggests.  Had a 300 in our marina with the same issue.  Turned out to be some mold that had built up around the rubber seal on the portholes.  A good cleaning and "lubing" of the seal took care of it.

Thanks to all for your suggestion and wisdom. Will certainly take a look at the porthole windows this weekend.

Safe boating to all!!!!

I had the same issue. This drove me nuts for a month. I removed my porthole and resealed it. What a pain in the neck that was. Afterwards, I waited 24hrs then did the water test. Using a hose I kept spraying the front bow of the boat with my wife inside. Sure enough water started entering in the front and starboard side of the berth getting the carpet and storage area wet.
Before you take on the port hole window try this.

The Fix:

rubber Rub rail, metal trim and screws.  Check the very front of the  bow under the anchor. If there is a gap between the metal trim and the rub rail, fill it with calk. Then Calk the top  portion of the entire rubber rub rail all around the boat, I used Clear marine calk. Then calk the top of the entire metal trip portion of the rub rail. Once thats done, I took out each screw of the rub rail and calked each of the holes. My boat is tight as a drum now..

I found that water would penetrate between the top of the metal rim on the rub rail then enter through the screw holes. Come to find out, there were numerious screw holes under the trim without screws... This was the major cause...  I used clear marine calk for all the calking needed for the boat.
