MAKE your own filter per "Babyboomer's instructions. I must have missed that one. Where can I find the information on building my own. I would like to try that and stop having to purchase these.

Here it is I did not use the velcro on the base plate I just cut the vent hose and used plastic straps to secure it to the white pump out hose still working GREAT

Do these effect pump out at all?  I'm concerned about imploding my tank with one of these on it.

No after you build it blow through it and you can tell how easily air passes through it.
But I wouldn't try it after it's installed  :D

OK, my filter has started working now...really well. Thanks Babyboomer for the plans. I even made one for my brother because we raft together sometimes. He thought I was doing him a favour  :lol:
