Hello everyone,

I requested that Talon set up a group for us that do not fit in the 'upper Illinois' riverboaters.  Perhaps we can share some stories, arrange some meetings at one of our favorite lakes (which would IMHO include at least Clinton  Lake, Lake Shelbyville, Lake Bloomington, Lake Springfield, Lake Decatur and others in the vicinity.  Feel free to jump in.   Unfortunately some work out of town (on any 'good' weekends we've had) has prevented me from getting out.....but as soon as the weather breaks, you can count on seeing me out at Clinton in our 212

Pretty good group of RBOers on Clinton.  But ever since the Redneck Yacht Club president, Cory, bought a house boat we haven't heard much from them down there.  It's been a lousy boating season for me so far but I am hoping it gets rolling along here pretty quickly.  Weather and work have been the biggest factors.......oh and that other thing.......INSANE FUEL PRICES!!!  It won't stop me from boating but I may not trailer as far as I would normally so Clinton and Shelbyville may take a back seat to the Illinois River and Lake Michigan.

Ya, I don't think we'll be making any big road trips this year and when at the lake, a lot less running around at or near WOT...more rafting up and just enjoying the weather (did I say enjoying the weather.....we have to have some decent weather to enjoy...or so I'm told).

We usually make a couple of trips up to Wisconsin to go out on lakes up there with some friends, but I doubt that will be happening either.

Hopefully with this new 'group' we can at least know who is doing what and maybe coordinate to a degree what we are doing to conserve gas as best we can.

Yeah.  I have been out once this year and that was for a shakedown cruise on Lake Springfield.  I was at Clinton last Sunday however not on my boat due to the weather.  I am hoping to get out next week and camp out and boat through the weekend.  It has been a long winter and I am in need of a break.

At Clinton??   I hope to get out sometime also.   Hope you guys survived that weather that just went through tonight.  We had a lot of rain here in Mahomet, but no real wind or anything else.  Just some street and yard flooding.
