Here are pictures of how I mounted the cockpit table in my 270. I got the mounts and pole with a flat starboard table I bought from Overtons that I didn't like. The current table top is from West marine. Had to bend the pole a bit to get it at the right angle but other than that it was easy. Cost about $150 for everything.

Craig,

Great pics!  Your table loaction provides access to the stern bench seat without doing any contortions.

Was the last pic taken in Baltimore Inner Harbor?  Thought I recognized the Inner Harbor East "Lighthouse" and Domino sugar sign.  We love Baltimore.  It will be our first planned trip with the new boat!

Brilliant and simple! Something to think about on our boat. We have never even taken the table out of it's storage space since it sucks up so much room and blocks access to the rear seat.

Craig, that is thinking out of the box for sure!  How did you bend that tubing?

It was already bent at a 90. I just put it between  some steps and tweeked it a little so the table would be at the right position.

Craig,
When you put this together did yoo think of mounting the bracket upright so you could swing the table around and use from the helm seat and lounge?  I don't know if  the bends could be made to work out.
Boy its easy to suggest after all the hard work is done.
In you last photo it looks like your bimini carries all the way to the stern. Is this once piece or just the camera angle?
Thanks

pxhill,
I had it that way to begin with using a rectangular table. It just took up a little more space and did't look quite as clean. The top you see in the photo is a camper canvas that I had added.
