To all visitors of South Florida - WELCOME!!

I am based out of Thunderboat Marina in Dania.  I hope that we can get a group together this year and head out to the Bahamas.

Happy trails!!

Hop how far are the Bahamas and would one be crazy if they tried to do it on a single engine 270?

About 55 miles to Bimini. Much smaller boats than a 270 have made the trip. I also have a 270 also and hope to go in 3 years when I retire.

I haven't heard from Indy for a long time.  I moved to Florida from there.  Worked on the north side, lived on the east side.

Welcome to Florida

I am still stuck here. 6-8 inches of snow expected in the next 48 hours. I like to cruise the keys but I had to skip a few years to get back into a cruiser.
Maybe we will see you sometime in the near future. Enjoy your weather!

I am actually in Central Florida, but the South Florida group will do fine for me.

And, yes....you can do the Bahamas run in a 270.  Provided the conditions are good.

AAAAAH!!  The $64,000 question.  If the weather is good.

May or June is probably the best shot.

Stay tuned . . . . . . .

Our group did Father's Day weekend last year (late June) and it was flat.  Perfect conditions.

Sounds good to me.  I'll mark it on the calendar.
