I'm half river rat but don't get down your way at all.  Mostly on the Illinois River up near Morris and on Labor Day weekend over near Henry, Illinois.

DaleM
We usually stay in the Marseilles to Starved Rock pool. We boat mainly on weekends and usually find that the locks are to busy to get through. If we go south through the Starved Rock lock we  have about a 60 mile pool to Peoria. We tend to go that way for there is less congestion.

we run anywhere from Lacrosse, WI up to the St Croix- about 5 miles past Powerboat Island.  we love the river, just to get away and just cruise..  nothing better!...just dont drink the water.

Have a Rx1 here our 3rd Rinker.  Do our boating primarily on Mississippi near L.A. Missouri and tons on the Illinois between Hardin, Il north to Montezuma.  Ever hear of those?!!! pirate
