Even though Rinker has updated their web site to show 2006 models, as I was looking about a month ago I had a hard time finding good pictures. The dealer I purchased from in Kansas City did a good job posting pictures of the two 246's they had in stock. They can be viewed at their site -

or copy the following into your address bar:

The blue boat they show is the one I purchased, but I had them add a custom snap on cover, trim tabs, Sirius radio, and a transom remote for the stereo. We traded in our 1999 Starcraft deck boat and are looking forward to the first part of April to get the new one out on the water. I'm taking it from my driveway to storage this afternoon. Not great when it is 9 degrees out and you have to trailer it around.
Come on Spring!

heh heh - You are joining the ranks of the poor souls that plunked down a large chunk of change and have to wait
Seems to take soooo much longer for spring to get here when you have a new boat to play with!

Welcome to the forum. I see you bought your 246 from Southwest Marine, Bob and Steve are a couple of good guys they should take good care of you. I bought my 232 from them last year and although we had a few issues they always took care of me and made sure I had my boat for the weekend. My BIL who lives in Olathe bought his 246 from them should get in the next couple of week. What lake are you on. Went to Clinton once last year. Nice lake but too many kids on jet fleas when we were there. We do most of our boating either at Pomona or in Missouri. Maybe we'll see you this year

Yes Bob and Steve are great, such a pleasure to work with a small dealer. Normally we boat at Lake Perry. Much larger and a lot more places to get away. I have a co-worker from Shawnee that boats out there, its about an hour from him. It is about 20 minutes from my house. You are right about Clinton, I was only there once last year even though it is 5 minutes from home. We also went to Melvern a couple of times last summer. It is a very clean lake - kind of a gray tint to the water. My preferred lake is Lake of the Ozarks. We made four trips down last year, 3 days, 4 days, 4 days, and 7 days. I have found some nice small resorts in areas of calm water. I'm eager to try some new lakes this year - possibly Table Rock, Beaver, or Grand Lake in OK.

Haven't made it to Perry. Been to Milford a couple times nice lake. This year I have a place in Warsaw where I have my 5th wheel set up. 1/4 mile to LOZ and 1/4 mile to Truman Last year went to Grand on Memorial Day lots of big boats can get rough on the holidays. Table Rock is absolutely gorgeous. Clear turqoise water! It can be alittle rough by the dam but once you get west of Kimberling City its great. Another lake you might want to try is Stockton another nice clear water lake. Its alot less busy than most of the lakes in our area
