06 Rinkers

Anybody have any news on the 06 Rinkers? I know there is a new 390 coming out to fill the gap between the 410 and 360, but haven't been able to find any pics or details yet. How about at the smaller end? What changes are they making for the new year?

Every other manufacturer has posted their 06's cept for Rinker. Their website never seems to be updated????? Guess they focus on building boats!!!
PS Talk to me about hosting for you, you have my card.

Rinker has a multi page add in the new issue of Boating mag. It shows the entire lineup for '06. Looks like all the cruisers get a teak cabin sole option and the stern's have been modified to look like the 360 (remove fender cans, add lazarette, add 'seat' on swim platform). Looks like at least one all new bowrider/cuddy as well.
I don't know enough about the bowrider / cuddy line to spot differences. Anybody else able to?
*EDIT*
Just noticed that Rinker got the previews online (Finally!)
http://http://www.rinkerboats.com/NewModel06.shtml
New vessels are the 390, 246 cuddy/bowrider and 226 bowrider.

First off, thanks for creating this great site :P
· Vinyl V-Berth Cushions :D
· Shore Choice Power (outlets on both sides of hull)
· Flat Screen TV/DVD
I may have missed a few, he was talking really fast. Wish I could
actually see some of these changes.

Fred, The company was bought out by three or four investers, the lead man from what I know is actually Mr. Rinkers son in law, and his son Randy still running alot of the operation.

Being more into the bowrider interest....I noticed that my 212 is no longer made - replaced with 226 and the 232 also replaced by the 246. It still appears that they are keeping the 192 (good thing IMHO, Rinker needs an 'entry level' boat for those just getting started or on limited budgets). IMHO in the 18-24 foot range of recreation boats....everyone is just making their models a little bigger....helps to keep that two foot itus going. It also appears that the integrated swim platform that my boat has is now almost if not 'standard' equipment. It sure seemed that a lot of the 2004 and newer 212's already had that on when they got to the boat stores.

I have been on three 2006's (270, 342,360)in Louisville recently and I must say they are looking great compared to the older models. The bright white really sets of the boat. When you add all of the improvements metioned in this thread I think Rinker has closed the gap with Sea Ray.
I personally think the boat design of new models of Sea Ray, Bayliner, Maxum, etc has gotten a little to modern for my taste. They all are using lower gunnels, radical engine vents with exposed stringers, all of which I think are cheaper. The Rinkers have nice smooth lines and solid construction that I think the others have comprimised.
