I plan to add a Boatsafe heater to my 2000 Rinker 330 Fiesta Vee (now the 342 series) but do not know where to locate the wiring to add a 110 volt plug in the engine compartment.

Thank you.

Welcome aboard!

I *just* had this done a couple weeks ago in my 320 (popped for the large BoatSafe unit). I had them hardwire it in (no outlet, so no leaks etc). I'll take some pics of what they did tomorrow evening when I'm aboard. Works like a champ! I know people that have just placed them in the engine compartment and ran them to a cockpit outlet, but that means leaving the compartment cracked for the cord to come out, which is not near as efficient. I belive they came of the main 120V circuits, but I'll take some pics and post them for you...

Actually, thining about it, I think they wired it in ahead of the isolater. Only took 20 minutes to install, so it can't be that bad. I'll verify tomorrow.

Got a question for you as well. On your boat, do you happen to know the make/model of the icemaker? Rinker doesn't install them on the 320, but I think I have space and the Admirable would like one. I'm not worried about depth, but width/height would be nice to know...

Mine came with two refrigerators instead of an icemaker. The refrigerators are Norcold.  I had a choice to substitute an icemaker, but believed the extra food and drink storage was more important.  We are on a lake so ice is not hard to get.

I look forward to seeing the photos.  Boatsafe recommends hardwire instead of plug-in connections.  I need to know where to tap into the wiring circuits.  The breaker box is at the kitchen.

Thank you for your response.

No problem padfor. It was too dark to get decent pictures tonight by the time I got to the boat, but I'll get some on Saturday (I hate this getting dark early stuff). I did crawl down and take a look tho. As best I can tell without daylight, the boatsafe is hardwired in just before the main feed to the charger, not the isolater.

I'll be back out on the water all weekend and will get better info and pictures then. Sorry couldn't be of more help yet.

I got a couple pics this past weekend, just haven't had a chance to post 'em yet. Try and get them up today.
