This is why I can't have nice things!!!

Today at lunch the A/C compressor belt broke. Truck has been making a "clacking" noise that I've been investigating, and trying to track down. Would only do it for 5-10 seconds right after the engine was started, and then go away shortly there after. So was hard to track down. I had it limited to between 1500-2000rpm with engine coolant below 160*, and the A/C on. Then pulling out of wendy's at lunch with the GF, it made the noise, then the truck stumbled for a second and then came right back, and suddenly no A/C. Dropped her off at her office, and popped the hood. Sure enough the A/C belt is busted and just laying there.

I suspect a frozen compressor bearing, or tensioner bearing, but will have to crawl under it tonight to see what I can figure out. Only took me 8 days to break something this time. Freakin figures :(

I'd love to wakeboard behind one of these big cruisers. I bet there is some serious air to be had with those monster wakes.

Whats a cruisers wake look at at the 22-25mph range? Thats about where I need to be for a good plane on a wakeboard/skate.....If I was wakesurfing, then 12-15mph would be the ticket!

Thought I would drag the original thread up for this update.

Towed to the lake again last night. Outside temp was over 103* (official temp from NWS was 102* high yesterday here in Louisville). A/C blowing cold with 4 people in the truck, almost drove like it wasn't back there. I love it!

Suddenly the boat doesn't look so big eh?

Mike -

BTW, this is a wake from our 360 -- we were doing about 32 at the time.  Verrizano Narrows bridge in the background...  Think you could have fun on that wake? :D

32 is WAY too fast to wakeboard. I need to be down around 22-24mph.

That wake doesn't look too bad, although the "lip" is a bit crumbled....

I'd still love to try it :D
