Is it worse in the winter???
«

I'm just sitting here at work wasting some time between meetings (have a 30 minute window between two meetings), and watching some wakeskating videos on youtube. It's raining here, and I can't take the boat out tonight. I'm leaving tomorrow night for a weekend with the parents in Wisconsin so I won't be taking the boat out this weekend. Probably going to be Wednesday before I can get out again
.
I'm already feeling a little bit of withdrawls.....I'm guessing the 5-6 months in the winter I can't boat will only be like this but worse?!?!? I sure hope not.....Seeing as this is my first boat, and I've only owned it since April, maybe it's just that the novelty of it hasn't worn off yet? You guys ever get "tired" of dealing with all the little crap on the boat, and not want to take it out?
Just some random thoughts.....Nothing important today!

I love boating and would go more often if work didn't get in the way. As for winter, my other hobby of bowhunting pretty much takes care of my time then. Basically I have two seasons in my life, Boating and Hunting. Not too much down time in between. Spring, summer, fall and winter mean nothing to me.

Yes, it's worse!!!!!!! And maybe cause it's "new again" for me, it was *really* bad this past winter! I would've been at the boat today (the marina has wi-fi) if I didn't have to present two projects today. Well, the wacko weather isn't helping either. I'm off next week, so I have a combo of "want to be on the boat", "start vacation early" (will be on the boat), and the general winding things up / turning things over, which leaves even more time for thoughts of why I'm not on the darn boat.
Work is rapidly becoming something I do to pay the bills between boating excursions!

Winter - What is that??? LOL...
Oh you mean when the isen glass goes up and the Mr Heater comes out - and you have to wear a jacket...
Ahhh - yeah it's worse - you can't jump in the water to cool off...
To your other point - yeah sometimes do get tired of the little things - and thus I grab a beer and ponder - then, they don't seem so bad...

It is absolutely worse. I live close to you so I can relate. I'm not a fisherman, but it's so bad that in the winter I'll watch bass tourneys on TV just to see and hear the sound of a fiberglass hull hitting the water. Winter is miserable for me.

Storey is their last name - parents just bought a place here a couple years ago - for fall / winter (and some summer)...
He's a fellow boater / co-worker and his sisters followed...

The only thing nice about winter is that it makes you appreciate spring that much more when it comes around. Of course here, we really only get a couple bad months.
I never knew there were so many boaters from Schenectady! it's been many a years since I was in that area last...if you ever leave from the Albany airport, take a look to the west and you'll see the big orange radar antenna I installed there  !

Uh Nope... Too many yankees for that - LOL...
Actually mostly pirate flags and yacht club flags flyin' in our groups - I have a 50 Star US at the top of the VHF antennae and then swap out the pirate flags as my mood changes...
