And yet another 270 question--speed

I just got word that that I am now the owner of a 1999 FV270 --so its one of my two happiest days. This also brings a question ---the boat has a 350 MAG M.P.I. Mercruiser I cannot get any reasonable estimate of the top speed for the boat. I know passanger, water and fuel all have an impact but I am getting estimates ranging from 30 to 45 MPH. Assuming 4 adults full fuel and water what could I expect. Prop appears to be factory.
Thanks

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Need to post some pics in the pictures section when you get them. I'll defer to the 270 owners about exact speed. but my guess with that load would be 38-42 mph

pxhill,
Congratulations you have purchased a great boat. Since weight is very important in WOT let me has a few questions. Does it have a generator? What about the Radar Arch? Does it have the Bravo 3 outdrive? How about Air Conditioner? If I remember the 1999 had a integral swim platform and not the extended. If it has al of the above with full tank of gas 4 adults and water about 38 to 40 with a clean bottom would be my guess. If it doesn't have a generator or radar arch I would guess 40-42. Again this is just a SWAG.
Yep! I would agree with the others. Remember if you are not going very far you are wasitng money pushing around a full tank of gas unless you do not have access to gas.
