We are getting down into the high 20's here at night. The boat seems to heat well, but what is the lowest you guys have found to be worthwhile?(ie - still fun)

Talon,

Anytime on the boat to me is worthwhile!!

However, in such cold conditions, I would find it prudent seamanship to increase the fun factor by introducing the following to the equation:

1) Female companion (Uh, I meant wife!)
2) Beverage of choice
3) Zero degree rated sleeping bag for two

Phil

lol - I came to the same 3 conclusions independently!

I've found that the cold really isn't a problem using the above mentioned techniques. We are still overnighting at least once a week.

I use the cabin heat for sleeping (very quickly gets the cabin to 70 degrees) and a propane heater for the cockpit when necessary. Just have make sure to provide proper ventilation and supervision for the heater. Best $75 I've spent in awhile

When is it to cold to over night on the boat? When you need a snow blower to find the boat! Still could be fun with the right companionship!!!!!
